The owner at this place is a mind reader, they catered to my every whim and made sure I was completely satisfied. The buffet breakfast was so good, I had to roll myself out of there!
As a bonus, I got to spend some quality time with a family of cockroaches in the bathroom. Lovely company, really.

The rooms at Bundala Flamingo Cottages were absolutely amazing! The natural clay covering gave them a modern rustic charm that I absolutely loved. The spacious and elegant rooms facing the lake provided breathtaking views that made my stay a lifetime experience. It was so refreshing to wake up to the unpolluted air and enjoy the peacefulness from the balcony. And the private bathroom with free toiletries was a nice touch!
One thing I liked less was that there was no karaoke or casino at Bundala Flamingo Cottages. But hey, that's just my personal taste.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, with a clean and comfortable room, complete with beautiful animal pictures on the walls and a breathtaking view of the lagoon. The location was perfect for exploring Bundala National Park, and the owner, Chamin, was a knowledgeable and helpful guide who arranged a great safari tour.
The breakfast could have been better with more options.

Great views over the wetlands and lots of birds and buffalo. The staff were nice and helpful, providing local food and assisting with travel needs. The location was close to a national park, allowing for an exciting safari experience.
There was nowhere to walk and explore in the surrounding area, and the nearby towns had little of interest for tourists. The rooms lacked hot water and air conditioning, and there were quite a lot of mosquitoes.

What an incredible experience! The location of this place is absolutely mind-blowing, right on the edge of Bundala Bird Sanctuary. The view from our balcony overlooking the lagoon was jaw-dropping. Chamin, our knowledgeable birder and photographer, took us on an amazing Safari where we saw an abundance of beautiful birds, as well as elephants and crocodiles. The food at this place was super delicious, especially the special Birthday Breakfast and picnic in the late afternoon. We also had the chance to visit a stunning ancient temple with breathtaking views. The friendly villagers and children in the small village of Pallemalala made us feel so welcomed.
